Client-Side Processing: Core PDF tools (merge, split, compress, rotate, watermark, convert) and the image editor run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript libraries like pdf-lib and the Canvas API. Your files are never sent to any server.

AI-Powered Features: Tools like AI PDF Summarizer, AI Image Enhancer, and AI File Organizer require server-side processing to function. When you use these tools, your file content is temporarily sent to our secure AI processing pipeline. This data is:

• Processed in real-time and not permanently stored
• Never used for training AI models
• Deleted immediately after your result is generated
• Transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS)

Account Data (Optional): If you choose to create an account, we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password. We never store plaintext passwords.

Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (like which tools are most popular) to improve PDFlow. This data cannot be linked to individual users or their files.

We Do NOT Collect:

• Your uploaded files or document contents (for client-side tools)
• Personal financial or payment information
• Browsing history outside of PDFlow
• Location data or device identifiers

PDFlow uses minimal cookies and local storage:

• Theme preference: Your light/dark mode choice is saved in localStorage.
• Session cookie: If you log in, a secure session cookie maintains your authentication state.

We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

We take security seriously:

• All connections are encrypted with TLS/HTTPS
• Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with strong salt rounds
• AI processing uses temporary, encrypted pipelines
• No persistent file storage on our servers for document processing
